Club Rules
Club Rules as follows
1. MEMBERSHIP
a) No member shall be discriminated on basis of race, sex, or creed.
b) Primary membership of the club shall be made up of those people who are Firefighters(any or all ranks) and
Fire Department support services personnel. ( i.e. dispatchers, vehicle maintenance, ect.) This shall and
will include those members who are paid, paid on call, volunteer, or retired.
c) Union membership is not mandatory.
d) Any member can sponsor one non-fire department applicant to join the club.(i.e. family members, spouses,
or friends.) Non-fire department members are not eligible to sponsor a new member.
e) All makes and models of motorcycles will be accepted into the club, however members motorcycles must
be at least 600cc's or greater. ( Acceptions may be made for novice riders.)
f) All member's passengers will be able to join the club. (i.e. spouse, significant other, or friend.)
2. DUES
a) Each member in good standing will be required to pay annual dues.
b) Dues will be $25.00 a year. Dues may be subject to change via a majority vote of those current members in
good standing.
c) New members will be required to pay a first time joining fee of $75.00.
d) Dues will be used to promote activities and/or purchase supplies for the club.
e) Dues give each member voting rights in the club and a voice in the club's direction.
3. THE CLUB PATCH AND COLORS
a) The club patch design/logo belongs to Fire and Iron M.C., Chapter 1, Centeral Florida Region.
b) The club patch will be worn with honor and pride.
c) Reasons for a member to lose his or her patch and membership in the club include: non-payment of dues,
bringing shame or dishonor to the club, actions of a member by which 2/3rd's vote of the membership feels
are not in keeping with the club's spirit or intent, a felony conviction.
d) Only members in good standing will be allowed to wear the club patch. If for any reason a member should
leave or be removed from the club, that member will be required to turn in thier club patch and station rocker
to the Club president of thier respective chapter/station.
4. GENERAL INFORMATION
a) Meetings will be held once a month with the exception of emergencies.
b) The club will strive to have at least one ride a month. All members are encouraged to set a ride day.
c) All members are encouraged to do at least 3 rides per year and one charity event.( due to conflicting fire
department scheduals, this is not mandatory.)
d) The following of safe riding practices are strongly encouraged. Members not adhering to the "accepted" rules
of the road, will not be tolerated.
e) Personal conflicts or fighting within the "ranks" reflect poorly on the membership and will not be tollerated.
Any disagreements will be brought before the membership for settlement.
f) Membership in other clubs, associations, or groups is allowed. (i.e. HOG or CMA)
g) Patches/colors will be at all public clug events. (i.e. parades, charity events, meetings, and official rides)
h) Your rank in the fire department deos not carry over into the club or hold sway over any club activities.
What happens in the club, stay's in the club.
i) Those people associated with the law enforcement community will not be allowed to join the club unless
they are sponsored by a member as outined in Section 1., paragraph d or f .
4. GENERAL NOTICE TO MEMBERS
a) Any of the above listed rules are subject to change with a 2/3rd's majority vote of the current, active
membership and/or by the president and officers of the club. You will be informed of any changes.
Notice: The above rules are based on those set by Fire and Iron Chapter 1 and the National President. They have
been changed and or modified to better suit station 17's local control.
